What PeerTest is
PeerTest matches app developers with each other so they can genuinely test each other's apps. You earn the right to have your app tested by testing other people's. That is the whole arrangement, and everything below follows from it.
Credits are not money
Credits measure work done. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred, cashed out, or exchanged for anything outside PeerTest, and they have no monetary value. There is no paid tier that delivers testers, and there will not be one. If you are offered credits or testers for money by anyone, anywhere, it is not us.
What you agree to as a tester
- When you take a seat, you are promising the term shown on it: fourteen days for a Play closed test, seven for a TestFlight round. A brief check-in most days and a few short missions.
- Use the app for real. Evidence you did not produce yourself, screenshots reused from another app, and automated or emulated activity are all grounds for removal.
- Say true things. An honest "nothing broke this week" is worth more than an invented bug and is treated as such.
- If you need to step away, release the seat. It costs you the completion bonus and nothing else, and it lets someone else take it.
What you agree to as a developer
- Review the work. Testers are giving you a fortnight, and credit only reaches them when you accept it.
- Give a reason when you reject something. The tester reads it.
- Accept work that meets the bar. Rejecting good work to hold on to credit is the same problem as submitting nothing, and it is handled the same way.
- If work sits unreviewed for more than a week, your campaigns stop taking new testers until you catch up. Testers already serving are unaffected, and reviewing lifts it immediately.
- Only list apps you control. One package, one owner.
Things that end an account
These are not warnings. Accounts doing any of them are closed.
- Offering, requesting, or brokering developer account sales, app transfers, or publishing an app through someone else's account.
- Selling or buying testers, seats, credits, or reviews, here or anywhere, using PeerTest to arrange it.
- Emulators, scripts, or automation standing in for a tester.
- Running more than one account.
- Submitting evidence that is not yours or not real.
What we do not promise
PeerTest does not guarantee that Google will grant your app production access. Nobody can promise that, and anyone who does is lying to you. What PeerTest gives you is twelve real testers who genuinely used your app for fourteen days, and a report that documents it. The decision is Google's.
PeerTest is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Google LLC. Google Play and Android are trademarks of Google LLC.
The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use.
Your content
What you write and upload stays yours. By submitting it you allow us to show it to the developer whose campaign you are serving, and to include it in that campaign's engagement report, which they may share with Google. That permission survives you closing your account, because the report has to remain true; see Privacy for exactly what survives and what does not.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time from the You tab. We can close an account that breaks the rules above. Credits do not survive account closure and are not refundable in any form, because they were never money.
Changes
If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes and the app says so the next time you sign in. Continuing to use PeerTest after that means you accept the change.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, and any dispute arising out of them belongs to the courts sitting there.
